This session might be one of my most unique and special ones to date. When Corbin and Kayla approached me about taking their one year anniversary photos, they really wanted to document their lives now. In this moment. In their home. Doing things they do on a daily basis. I thought that was such a sweet, and thoughtful idea! Because in 20 years when they look back on these photos, they’re going to remember Pippin snuggling on the couch, and they’re going to remember their hand-me-down couches, and they’re going to remember that old record player they would dance to in the living room. It’s those little memories that make a home, and are what make your newlywed years so special, and fun.
They also wanted to cut their wedding topper, of course, and then we braved the cold and rainy weather and headed outside for some shots in the leaves. I’m so glad they trusted me to take them frolicking through the woods because every couple deserves a pretty portrait surrounded by fall foliage. At least in my mind they do!
Corbin and Kayla were so much fun to work with, and really, who wouldn’t want to spend a few hours hanging out with Corbin and Kayla??? They are two of the sweetest, gentlest, and most down-to-Earth souls I’ve had the pleasure of being friends with!
Here are my favorites from our session, and you’ve been warned, it’s a jam packed one!
Enjoy!!
