Q: What kinds of sessions do you shoot?
A: Maternity, Newborns, Children, Families, Anniversary, Seniors, Special Occasions
Q: Why mini sessions only? What if I want more images/locations/etc.?
A: Because my time is the greatest gift I can give my daughter, and I don’t want to be away for long. And because I respect your time – I want your session to be convenient, and efficient. If you’re interested in a longer shoot, we can certainly chat.
Q: Why are you so cheap?
A: Because I only ever want to charge what I would also be willing and able to pay. It’s like my golden rule of photography. Kind of. I could charge you an arm and a leg, but I honestly don’t want to. As a new mom, my budget is always top of mind!
Q: What if it rains? Can we reschedule?
A: Of course! I prefer to shoot outside, or in a well-lit home, full of magical natural light. If the weather doesn’t seem to be cooperating, we can work something out.
Q: What time of day do you prefer to shoot?
A: I try my best to aim for early in the morning, or later in the evening, 1-2 hours before sunset. If neither of these times works for you, we can still make it happen. For newborn shoots, we’ll work around what’s best for the baby.
Q: How many photos will I receive with my session?
A: I always try to under-promise, and over-deliver. So let’s just say you’ll most likely get at least 20 fully edited images.
Q: I saw this really cool photo on Pinterest. Can we recreate it?
A: I love pulling inspiration from Pinterest, but I try not to go by a “shot list”. Your session will turn out much more organic and natural if we go with the flow.
Q: What should I wear? Do you have any ideas?
A: You should wear something you won’t mind seeing in frames or on your walls. Think timeless, and simple. Try to avoid busy patterns, or too many patterns if planning a group shop. Think about coordinating colors – such as all neutrals, or different shades of a certain color. Try to avoid wearing all black, or all white.
Q: When do we pay you?
A: At time of session. Cash or check, made out to Sarah Ingle. (Deposit required to reserve date)
Q: I have to cancel. Is there a fee for canceling?
A: I understand that things happen, and emergencies come up. But please respect both of our schedules, just like you would any other appointment, and give me at least 48 hours notice if you must cancel ahead of time.
Q: Do you back up your photos? Will my photos be safe after a shoot?
A: Technology is only so reliable, but I do my best to make sure your photos are safe and sound. I use a combination of external hard drives, and multiple cloud storage services.
Q: Can I share my beautiful new photos on social media? Do you require a watermark or a shoutout?
A: No watermark. But, I always suggest a kind shoutout, or friendly mention. Word of mouth is a huge part of my business. I do ask that you do NOT alter the photo in any way though – including cropping or converting to black and white.
Q: How long until I receive my photos?
A: My turn-around time is typically about two weeks. But, I will remind you that a tiny human dictates my schedule and sometimes I’m a little quicker, or a little slower than that. I will always keep you updated on the status of your photos.
Q: Where do you suggest I print my photos? Can I print them through you?
A: I have several suggestions for where to print your photos, so feel free to ask me when you get to that point! I highly advise against printing your photos at Walgreens, Walmart, Target, or Costco though. You also always have the option to order your prints through me.
Q: I always see you talking about canvas photos. Can I order one through you?
A: Canvas gallery wraps are my absolute favorite way to display my photos. I would love to talk to you about ordering a canvas of your favorite photo, or photos.
